HITEC institution Overview: 

Located in Taxila cantonment, Punjab, Pakistan, HITEC University is a top-tier private institution. The Heavy Industries Taxila Education City (HITEC) served as the inspiration for the creation of HITEC University.


There were existing early childhood, elementary, and high school educational facilities on the property. In association with UET Taxila, the BS, BBA, and BS Islamic Studies programs in mechanical and electrical engineering were introduced in 2007. On November 17, 2009, HITEC University received its charter from the Punjab Government, and all of the students were relocated there. 

Undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate degrees in engineering, computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, mathematics, Islamic studies, and business administration are all available at HITEC University.

Then-President General Pervez Musharraf led the opening event. The university established a new computer science department five years later, and the Department of Civil Engineering was introduced in 2019.
